Zildjian

Zildjian, a cymbal manufacturing company which holds origins in 17th century Constantinople, wanted to expand into the acoustic electric cymbal category. While they were more than skilled to make the Gen 16 cymbals, they needed help designing the electronics and accessories.

Our designers and engineers worked closely with Zildjian’s electronics subcontractor to create the enclosure for the Gen16 Direct Source Pick-ups. This device attached directly to the cymbals, featuring sensors, LEDs and a pre-amp section.  We also designed the packaging and worked with Zildjian’s vendors during initial manufacturing of the Gen16 line.

The Gen16 line proves to be another quality and successful product line from Zildjian. Possibly one of it’s most unique offerings, this product line made Zildjian competitive in the acoustic electric category.
