Robert Bosch Tool asked our team to update their iconic “SkilSaw”, the go-to circular saw for professional contractors and DIY’ers alike. Balance, power and weight are critical factors in saw design and improvements have been incremental – each ounce shed is a major achievement. Skil’s challenge to us was to carry the SkilSaw legacy into a new generation of saws with updated features and a discernible reduction in weight.

The outcome represents the crowning achievement of a 10+ year design partnership that launched over 200 products into the market. The final design achieved a 2+ pound weight reduction and introduced a number of time saving and accuracy enhancing features while infusing the saw with the equities pro’s have come to expect.

Skil hit a home run on the Mag77LT. The new design does not seem to have sacrificed power, balance or durability…They made a great saw better and lighter, well done!
